Job Summary

Do you want to understand how goods move from one place to another and ensure everything runs on time? As a Logistics Intern, you’ll support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of transportation and warehouse operations. This role is ideal for students passionate about supply chain efficiency, problem-solving, and real-world operations management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and tracking daily shipments and deliveries.
• Support coordination between suppliers, transporters, and warehouse teams.
• Maintain and update logistics records, shipment schedules, and inventory data.
• Help resolve delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies.
• Prepare reports related to shipment costs, timelines, and performance.
• Research transportation solutions and suggest ways to optimize logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and documentation requirements.

Required Skills

• Technical/Operational Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of logistics, transportation, or supply chain concepts.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets for tracking shipments.
  • Familiarity with inventory or warehouse management systems (preferred).
  • Ability to analyze data and spot process inefficiencies.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under time pressure.
  • Team player with adaptability to handle real-time challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or projects in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
• Understanding of transportation modes, last-mile delivery, or route optimization.
• Prior internship/volunteer experience in logistics or operations (added advantage).
• Awareness of sustainability in logistics (green logistics concepts).
