Finance Intern

Job Summary

Are you passionate about numbers, budgets, and financial planning? As a Finance Intern, you will gain practical exposure to financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting. This role is ideal for students who want to explore careers in finance, accounting, or corporate financial planning. You’ll work closely with the finance team to support day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and dashboards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
• Help with accounts payable/receivable tracking and reconciliations.
• Conduct research on market trends, competitors, and investment opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and documents.
• Assist with audit preparations and compliance-related activities.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights for cost optimization.

Required Skills

• Technical/Business Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
  • Familiarity with financial tools/software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books – nice to have).
  • Ability to work with numbers and perform accurate calculations.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
• Basic understanding of taxation, compliance, or corporate finance.
• Prior internship or project experience in finance (bonus).
