Job Summary:
We are looking for passionate and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineers (SDETs) to join our fast-growing engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our products by building and maintaining robust test automation frameworks. Key Responsibilities:
Common Responsibilities (All Levels):
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to define test plans, acceptance criteria, and testing strategy.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with the development team for quick resolution.
- Document test cases, automation frameworks, and processes for team reference.
Additional Responsibilities (Mid-Level):
- Take ownership of test automation coverage for modules or features.
- Enhance and maintain automation frameworks for scalability and reusability.
- Participate in code reviews for automation scripts and mentor junior QA engineers.
- Collaborate with DevOps to improve test execution speed and reliability.
Additional Responsibilities (Senior):
- Drive test automation strategy and roadmap across the product suite.
- Lead architectural improvements in automation frameworks and ensure adoption of best practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level SDETs, conducting training sessions when required.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to define quality KPIs and champion a shift-left testing approach.
- Evaluate and introduce new test tools, libraries, and methodologies to improve quality and efficiency.
Required Skills:
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# for test automation.
- Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
- Good understanding of API testing (Postman, RestAssured, Karate) and RESTful services.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, PyTest, Mocha).
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Strong debugging skills and ability to analyze root causes of test failures.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
Experience Range:
1–8 years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles.
Final designation (Junior, Mid-Level, Senior) will be based on experience, skills, and interview performance.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, Locust).
- Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and quality metrics (test coverage, defect density).
- Understanding of security testing basics.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering bug-free software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with developers and product teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.
- Leadership and mentoring skills (for senior-level candidates).
