You’ll work alongside experienced security professionals to identify vulnerabilities, analyze risks, and help strengthen our defense systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and application logs for suspicious activities.
• Assist in performing vulnerability scans and penetration testing.
• Help implement security controls, patches, and compliance measures.
• Document security incidents, investigations, and remediation steps.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure secure coding and deployment practices.
• Research emerging threats, attack vectors, and security tools to improve defenses.
• Support awareness campaigns for cybersecurity best practices across the organization.

Required Skills

• Technical Skills:
  • Basic understanding of networking, firewalls, and security protocols
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Linux, Windows) and basic system administration
  • Exposure to tools like Wireshark, Nmap, or Metasploit (basic usage)
  • Knowledge of common cyber threats (phishing, malware, DDoS, SQL injection)
  • Awareness of OWASP Top 10 and basic secure coding practices
• Soft Skills:
  • Attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Problem-solving and critical reasoning
  • Strong ethics and sense of responsibility
  • Good communication skills and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK stack, Wazuh)
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of encryption, authentication, and identity management systems
• Participation in Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions or cybersecurity projects
• Certifications (CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar) — even if in progress
