Machine Learning Engineer / ML Specialist (Junior / Mid-Level / Senior)

Key Responsibilities:

Common Responsibilities (All Levels):

• Design, develop, and maintain ML models for classification, regression, recommendation, or NLP tasks.
• Build end-to-end ML pipelines, from data collection and preprocessing to model training and deployment.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure clean, structured, and scalable datasets.
• Optimize models for accuracy, scalability, and performance in production environments.
• Work with product managers to translate business requirements into ML solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.

Additional Responsibilities (Mid-Level):

• Take ownership of model lifecycle management, including versioning, retraining, and monitoring.
• Perform hyperparameter tuning, feature engineering, and model evaluation for production-grade solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate ML pipelines into CI/CD workflows.
• Mentor junior ML engineers and review their code or notebooks.

Additional Responsibilities (Senior):

• Lead ML solution architecture and select appropriate algorithms, frameworks, and infrastructure.
• Guide the R&D efforts for new ML techniques and ensure adoption of best practices.
• Collaborate with leadership on AI/ML strategy, roadmap, and resource planning.
• Conduct technical workshops and mentor team members to scale ML knowledge across the organization.
• Evaluate and introduce new tools, libraries, and platforms to keep the company at the forefront of ML innovation.

Required Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn) and familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model building.
• Solid understanding of ML algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, ensemble methods).
• Knowledge of REST API development for serving ML models.
• Experience with version control (Git) and code collaboration workflows.
• Strong skills in debugging, performance tuning, and testing ML code.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases for data handling.

Experience Range:

1–8 years of experience in Machine Learning or AI engineering.
Final designation (Junior / Mid-Level / Senior) will be based on experience, technical skills, and interview performance.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

• Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, TFX).
• Knowledge of cloud ML services (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, Azure ML).
• Familiarity with deep learning for NLP, CV, or recommendation systems.
• Understanding of big data tools (Spark, Hadoop) for large-scale data processing.
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for model deployment.
