Key Responsibilities

• Learn to design, build, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines
• Work with SQL databases to extract, clean, and transform data
• Monitor data pipelines for accuracy and performance issues
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and developers to deliver well-structured data
• Document workflows, schemas, and processes for future reference
• Stay updated with modern data engineering tools and practices

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of SQL (queries, joins, filtering, aggregations)
• Basic knowledge of databases (relational or NoSQL)
• Problem-solving mindset and logical thinking
• Willingness to learn ETL tools and data engineering best practices
• Good teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to ETL tools (Talend, Apache NiFi, SSIS, Airflow) or any academic project experience
• Familiarity with Python for data manipulation (Pandas)
• Knowledge of cloud data services (AWS RDS, Azure Data Factory, GCP BigQuery)
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, fact & dimension tables)
